Nakhon Pathom ((タイ語:จังหวัดนครปฐม), , ((Pronunciation ))) is one of the central provinces (''changwat'') of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Suphan Buri, Ayutthaya, Nonthaburi, Bangkok, Samut Sakhon, Ratchaburi, and Kanchanaburi. The province is renowned for its many fruit orchards.〔 The capital city of Nakhon Pathom Province is Nakhon Pathom. It is in the alluvial plain of central Thailand and is drained by the Tha Chin River (sometimes called the Nakhon Chai Si), a tributary of the Chao Phraya river.
